SSC GD Constable Eligibility 2026
Candidate citizenship should be India, must have 10th class or equivalent exam completed. Applicant age reckoning as on 1st Jan 2026 between 18-23 years it means candidate born not before 2 Jan 2003 and not later than 1 Jan 2008.Age relaxation for reserved category & 1984 riots victims children.Nationally & Citizenship: Applicant must be citizen of India and Posts in CAPFs & AR are State/UT/area must submit domicile certificate.
Education Qualification
Applicant must passed Matriculation or 10th Class Exam from recognized Board or University as on 1st Jan 2026
Candidate who have not passed required qualification as on specified date 1st Jan 2026 are not eligible and need not apply
As per Ministry of HRD notification published in Gazette of India all certificates of degree/diploma obtained through open and distance learning of education board/university recognized by an act of State Legistature or Parliament under section 3 of UGC act and Institutions of national importance affirmed under act of parliament such degrees are recognized for relevant period when candidates acquired qualification, they will not be allowed for purpose of education eligibility.Those candidates produce approval from UGC, Distance Education Bureau for their studied University relevant period at certificate verification time.

Candidates who responsible and wish to apply SSC GD Constable 2026 Examination are necessary complete One Time Registration on Commission website https://ssc.gov.in. Ensure OTR generated on old website ssc.nic.in will not work for new website, so candidates must be generated OTR from SSC new website ssc.gov.in and proceed to fill Online Application Form for SSC GD Exam 2026. Application Submission must be online mode only.Advised to candidates select opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication while finishing OTR procedure. Candidates at the time of Online Application Form process who opt for Aadhaar Authentication such candidates not required to produce recent colour photogprah, original valid ID proof for admission of exam venue at the time of Computer Based Test.
At the time Online Application submitting candidate not necessary to have he/her existing photograph, application module has facility to capture real time photograph of candidate, candidate can stand/sit before camera without cap or spectacles at the time of module prompted.

Ensure commission allows only two times modifying/correcting online application form. Candidates who are submitted online application form and requisite fee (if applicable) are eligible to edit corrections.
Online Application Form Correction Charges: The commission will put charges Rs.200 for First time and Rs.500 for Second time for making corrections and resubmitting Online Application Form. For Correction of Online Application all category candidates must pay correction charges. If the application correction charges are not received by Commission, Online Application Form status shows as “Incomplete” and such application will not be valid
