JKSSB Constable Eligibility Criteria 2025

Domicile Certificate

Candidates must have a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Matriculation (10th) Exam from a recognized Board/Institute of Jammu & Kashmir Government.

Physical Standard Test

Candidates should meet the PST measurements given below.

Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2025)

OM/SC/ST/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/OBC Category: 18 to 28 years.
In Service Police Personnel Category: 18 to 30 years.

Selection Process for Constable Position

Selection Process

The candidate Appointment and other service conditions apply through the extant rules/regulations of the Government of UT of J&K. There are three stages for constable section Stage I written test, Stage 2 PST, Stage 3 PET further document verification and medical exam.

Stage 1: Written Examination

This is an Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions exam only in English Language only. There is usually Negative marking for each wrong answer ¼ mark assigned to that question.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test

Candidates who pass the written exam will be called for Physical Standard Test.
For Males
i) Height: 5’-6” (minimum)
ii) Chest girth: 32” (unexpanded)
iii) Chest girth: 33 ½” (expanded)
For Females
Height: 5’-2” (minimum)
Gorkha/ Bot Tribe Community: Height: 5’ (minimum)

Stage 3: Physical Endurance Test

The candidates who meet the above stated physical standards shall be required to undergo physical endurance test
For Males
Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes
Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)
For Females
Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes
Shot put (4Kgs): 14 ½ feet in three attempts

The Selected candidate will get Level-2 (19900- 63200) salary per month
