CTET February 2026 Eligibility
Candidates passed min qualification as per NCTE CTET 2026 Eligibility for teaching staff. CTET 2026 Eligibility: National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Determination of Minimum Qualification for Persons to be Recruited as Education Teacher and Physical Education Teacher in Pre-Primary, Primary, Upper Primary, Secondary, Sr Secondary or Inter Schools or Colleges) Regulations.- Minimum Education Qualification as laid down in Govt schools Teacher Recruitment Rules or KVS/NVS.Teacher Recruitment Rules
- Candidate should satisfy CTET 2026 Exam eligibility before applying and he/she personally shall be responsible in case not eligible to apply CTET 2026 eligibility. if the candidate has been allowed to appear Central Teacher Eligibility Test, it does not mean that applicant eligibility has been confirmed. The eligibility shall be finally verified by the concerned recruiting authority committee.
- Note: for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates 5% relaxation in Educational Qualification for CTET 2026 Eligibility.
CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for Paper 1
Candidates applying for Classes 1st to 5th in Primary Schools should check the CTET Paper 1 Eligibility
Should have Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent with min 50% marks, and 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education passed or appearing final year are eligible.
OR
Senior Secondary or equivalent with min 45% marks, and 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education passed or appearing final year is eligible by the NCTE Regulations 2002
OR
Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) passed or final year appearing.
OR
Sr Secondary or equivalent with min 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) passed or appearing
OR
Gradation with min 50% marks and B.Ed
CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for Paper 2
Candidates applying for Classes 6th to 8th in govt schools should check the CTET Paper 2 Eligibility
Should have Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent with min 50% marks and 4 Year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) passed or appearing final year
OR
Sr Secondary or equivalent with min 50% marks and 4 Year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed passed or appearing final year.
OR
Graduation with 50%marks and 1 Year B.Ed(Special Education) passed or appearing.
OR
Should have qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET
OR
PG with min 55%marks or equivalent
CTET 2026 Exam Age: In official Notification not specified Age Limit or Age Relaxation.

SC/ST/Diff.Abled Person: Rs.500

CTET February 2026 Application Fee Paying Mode: Online-mode by Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
CTET 2026 Exam How to Apply Online
CTET Feb 2026 How to Apply: Ensure candidate must submit their Online Application mode only. Keep ready details of applicant address, education qualification, year of passing, percentage, name of university/board, recent passport, applicant signature and required scanned copies of documents to avoid CTET Online Form site delay/slow.Step1: Log on CTET official portal https://ctet.nic.in
Step2: Go to link “Apply Online” and open web page
Step3: Fill the Online Application Form and write down Registration Number/Application Number
(a) Authentication Form: Fill information like state, identification type, applicant name, date of birth, security pin and gender.
(b) Fill complete online application form and select password choose password after form submission; Application Number/Registration Number will be generated. for future reference write down Registration No/Application No. Further login using Registration No and password.
(i) Advised to candidates not to share password with anyone. CTET or NIC not responsible for violation or misuse of the candidate password
(ii) Remember after complete sessions logout from page.
Step4: Keep ready scanned latest photograph and signature with appropriate size and upload those.
Step5: Pay exam fee (see fee particulars under application fee) online mode through debit card or credit card or net banking. Take print after successful payment. If the payment status not ok, the amount will be refunded to concerned credit card/debit card within a week, those candidates have to pay the fee once again
Step6: Print Confirmation page for future reference and record, do not send to CTET unit.
